An Umbrella Artisan (Zephyrama)
Zephyrama - Umbrella Artisans
The Umbrella Artisans Collective is the crafty stall just inside the door in aisle three of the Cattle Pavilion, right opposite George's Meats. To find the right door look for the Peaberrys Coffee stand just outside.
The stall is a collective made up by some serious craftsters who have been together for more than six years. The gals are constantly working on new items for the stall. You may have seen button necklaces, brooches, bracelets and earrings around lately - well that's what made the collective famous several years ago on the internet craft and style website whipup.
The Umbrella Artisan Collective features the work of Zephyrama (that's the bright children's clothing) Tink (handspun, knitted, dyed and woven knitwear) Blue (exquisite sewn clothing, accessories, baby items and hand made dolls) Lollypops (unique hair accessories and jewelry for children) Misses Hewson and Muffet (steampunk, gothic and Victorian inspired pieces) and Tragic Bags (handmade bags).
The Umbrella Collective also has the famous Monster Adoption Agency and the monsters are in a big cage just in the door - don't worry they don't bite. These little critters are made by Otto and Oscar and are baby safe and machine washable.

Along with products made from alpaca, Serenal also has a range of fine pearl jewelry with black pearls a feature of the unique range.
The fibre from the alpaca has become synonymous with fine, high quality wool used in the fashion world, and for good reason – the fibre is one of the warmest, softest and lightest fibres known in the animal kingdom.
Since ancient times the Andean peoples have been using alpaca for protection against the extreme highland climatic conditions. They discovered in the alpaca wool the best attributes to create clothing that is soft warm and light.
Technically a hair, the fiber is partially hollow, with less scale formation than sheep’s wool. It is these characteristics that give alpaca these wonderful qualities.Alpaca wool is the only natural fiber from animals that comes in such an array of colours, in fact over 20 recognized colours.
Serendipity Alpacas evolved from small scale breeding of the animals to retailing beautiful products made from alpaca ranging from the yarns to knitted garments.

C & D CAMILLERI Produce
C & D CAMILLERI Produce
Market gardener specialising in Strawberries
It all started 30 years ago, when my father Charlie left school at the age of 15 to become a market gardener (specialising in strawberries) alongside his father, my grandfather. Now I help my father and mother like my brothers and sister did.
Each year we go through a similar process. In February the ground is prepared with fertilizers and plastic is laid. In April our plants arrive from Victoria and they are planted one by one by hand. Again another family event with everyone helping out. For the next few months my dad does the hard work and looks after the plants by watering continuously until roots are established, this is very important. By May you will see the flowers developing, this means picking time is coming up soon depending if we get a heavy frost to set us back a few months. In June we start the picking it is a bit slower to start with but by September we start to get into the swing of things all the picking and packing we do ourselves and all by hand.
Since the family has grown there are more hands to help do the work so over the years we have expanded from just strawberries to other produce. When mum and dad were growing up they helped their parents grow spinach, cabbage, tomatoes, beans, peas, potatoes, capsicum, garlic snow peas, mulberries, marrow and whatever was in season. So we have gone back to those vegetables as that is what we have knowledge on. We have tried all different fruit and vegetables and there is nothing better than fresh produce.

Our Juice
Our Juice
Nestled in the beautiful Ourimbah Valley on the NSW Central Coast, we grow Oranges Mandarines Lemons Lemonades and Limes.
The orchard was planted in the year 2000, so it is by any standard a young orchard. Our intention was to maintain the traditional use of the land and a link to the heritage of the area. Also to satisfy our need to produce something of value from our farm.
We employ organic farming practices, but the orchard is not certified. The costs makes this impractical for a small orchard.
All the work in the orchard is undertaken by family members including Bazza the farm dog.
Our approach has been to market the orchard output directly to the public. This improves the returns to us as the grower and the cost effective product to you as the consumer. We take pride in the freshness and quality of the product that we provide for you to take home to the family which is often picked on the day of purchase.

Peppercorn Beef
Peppercorn Beef Terry and Karen Pierce are the farmers behind Peppercorn Beef, a Belted Galloway cattle property at Barrington.
The couple are at the markets every week and have two stalls, one selling freshly butchered cuts in aisle 1 along with a food cart on the grassed area where you can grab a Beltie steak hamburger.
The 'Belties' are one of the world's oldest known breed of cattle and are mainly associated with the highlands of Scotland.
Belties have two separate coats of hair on their hide, one coat is a short downy coat and the other a long guard hair coat which means that the Belties use 20 to 25% less feed than other beasts to maintain their body weight.
Bred, pastured and processed in the Hunter, the Peppercorn Beef range features sausages, mince, corned silverside, skirt steak, osso bucco, rolled roasts, beef roasts, round topside, rump, sirloin, scotch fillet and a range of offal products as well.

The Chilli Factory
The Chilli Factory
Run and operated from Morisset right at Lake Macquarie in the Lower Hunter Valley, just half an hour from Newcastle Australia. We are a family business and all the sauces and chutneys are made by Marcel de Wit, a chef by trade. He and his wife Connie used to have an award winning Joels At Avoca Beach, a European restaurant with Asian influences.
After half a year of travelling through Asia in the 80's (Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines) Marcel and his wife Connie got hooked on to chillies. That is where they picked up their love for chillies and it's now a love they share.
The Chilli Factory started in Joels restaurant as a hobby of Marcel and to create an extra income by selling a few jars on the bar in the restaurant. Customers were not only coming back for the beautiful dishes but also to re-stock their supply of chillies!
After a lot of experimenting a range of beautiful gourmet sauces and chutneys were created. After plodding along with the pots and the pans cooking for his customers and in his spare time filling the jars, hand package them and sell them at markets and shows Marcel and Connie decided that after cooking for so many years (23 years of stirring the pots) it might be more fun and excitement to start a new business with the chillies.
An all 100% Australian owned and operated company.
All chillies are grown in Australia (Northern Queensland) we do not use any dried, powdered or imported chillies. As a company we have the policy that if we cannot make it fresh we prefer to not make it at all
Our products are sold at: Gourmet, Delicatessen, Butcher & Vegetable shops, growers markets and Fine food markets

Bills Organic Bakery
At Bill’s we've made it our mission to produce a bread that has great taste AND is good for you.
Our breads are baked from the finest Certified Organic stoneground flour, sunflower oil, psyllium husks, sea salt and filtered water.
Our Certified Organic flours (ACO certification 257P) are stoneground, a slower, older method of milling which avoids overheating and dehydration. Nutrients and wheat germ are retained, giving that nutty flavour.
Our unique sourdough culture was developed from scratch in the Wattagan Mountains near Newcastle. The slower 18-hour fermentation allows the dough to rise and the beneficial lactobacilli (which helps digestion) to fully develop, producing that unique flavour that can be obtained no other way.
Our Certified Organic stoneground sourdough breads have
NO added yeast
NO dairy products
NO chemical herbicides or pesticides
NO artificial preservatives, flavouring or colouring
NO genetic modification
NO added sugar
NO animal products

Farmers Heidi and David Marks have been using the traditional methods of Biodynamic farming for more than 20 years and have become concerned about deregulation of the diary industry, and the decline of food quality. Four years ago, they started Marrook Farm, producing yoghurt, fetta cheese and quark.
“We don't homogenise because we believe it affects the milk, we do not add milk powder or solids, nor do we drain the whey off, so we are pretty old fashioned in that regard," David said. "For instance, commercial yoghurt – makers add solids so there aren't any inconsistencies in the milk. But last week we had a lot of rain so the cows got stressed and the milk was a bit runnier, so what if its runnier if it is still tastes great and the quality is there? That’s the sign of a true artisan”
